FAQ - MICRO-BLADING
 

Microblading is the best kept beauty secret around and a popular choice in enhancing  evenly shaped eyebrows. Each client's brows are customized in conjunction with they face & bone structure, provide a lifting  and refreshing appearance to the entire eye and brow bone. Microblading will enhance your expression naturally for several years. Are your eyebrows too light or too sparse? Not to worry, Microblading will allow you to have the brows you want while eliminating the need for costly eyebrow enhancement kits. all the while saving time in your daily routine from not having to fill-in your eyebrows or stressing over the perfect shape.

Using a hand held instrument made of several tiny needles and beautiful pigment your brow technician will create hair like strokes that mimic your natural brows. This technique creates a bold yet natural looking defined eyebrow that will allow you to be ready to face the world without the extra step of filling in your brows everyday! After your initial treatment you will need a touch up within four to six weeks. Results last one and a half years to two years! 

How does the Micro-blading technique work? 

Microblading is a cosmetic procedure, where a grouping  of needles affixed to a handle manually create strokes that resemble eyebrow hairs. This specialized technique will give you  natural looking, full brows. The procedure allows you to correct, or completely recreate lost brows. This technique deposits pigment into the skin, using a hand tool that creates small paper cut-like scratches. All pigments are expertly chosen to match your hair and skin colour, flawlessly blending into any existing hairs. This colour will be quite bold 3 -4 days after your procedure, fading dramatically as they heal. Microblading is a procedure with two appointments, your touch up appointment 4 – 8 weeks following. It is crucial to follow the After Care during this healing process to achieve the desired effect.

 

How long does the procedure take?

The procedure will take 2 hours approximately. This includes consultation time, numbing time & the blading procedure itself.

 

Does Micro-blading procedure hurt? 

​

Numbing cream will be applied prior to the application and this greatly desensitizes the area, making the procedure painless. Most clients only feel light pressure or scraping.  Depending on the sensitivity of your skin; some discomfort may be experienced.

 

How often do I need a touch up?

​

It always takes two procedures to achieve the desired effect. Pigment and shape may change after the first procedure while your eyebrows are healing. ​ Your first touch up is required within  4 - 6 weeks  of your first appointment.​***NOTE: YOU MUST BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENTS WITHIN 6 WEEKS OF EACH OTHER. If your touchup is outside of the 4-6 week time period, you may be charged an additional charge.***

Thereafter, the pigment can last up to 2 years, but for the most part clients enjoy the depth and definition that microblading offers, so they will come in to deepen the colour within a year.

How long does Micro-blading last? 

​

As with permanent make up and the feathering technique, retaining the pigmentation on your skin depends on your skin type and tone. However, the majority of clients are able to maintain their shape and pigment for approximately 1  year after two procedures have been performed.  After your first two procedures,  touchups can be booked as needed. Is Brow Micro-blading a tattoo?

​

No. Tattoos is ink deposited deep below the skin's surface in order for the tattoo to be permanent, as where microblading is a natural pigment that is deposited just slightly under the skin's surface, which over time the pigment migrates to the surface and eventually need to be redone. Hence, lasting up to 2 years.
